About

Built inside a working crew.

I'm Artem Pavlenko. I've been a carpenter since I was sixteen. Today I run a finish carpentry company I started in 2020, doing high-end finish work and custom built-ins in Jacksonville, Florida.

Running it, I kept paying for tools that each covered one slice of the business and left the rest to spreadsheets, a second app and late nights. That was time that should have gone to the work, the crew and my family.

So I built one place to run the whole business. Hewer was built inside that company and tested against a live crew's daily punch list: leads, estimates, contracts, the crew app, payments, payroll prep and the numbers behind every job. My company was the first on it and still runs on it. Hewer is built for any contractor now, not just us. The trade happens to be carpentry; nothing in the product assumes it. You pick your trade when you sign up, and the crew app works in English, Spanish and Russian.

How we build it

Hewer is a faith-driven company, and that's why we don't do band-aid fixes: we build it the right way, so it prospers and becomes a blessing to every business that runs on it.

Day to day, that looks like this:

  • When something breaks, we fix the cause, not the symptom.
  • One plan, one public price, every feature included. No feature tiers, no sales call to find out what it costs, and Hewer takes no cut of your payments.
  • Month-to-month. Ask and we'll export your data.
  • What we sell has to be true on the day you sign up.

We'd rather ship it right than ship it fast.

If you run crews, quote work and get paid for it, I built this for you too. Questions go to hello@hewer.app.
